Xceldyne Technologies LLC. would like to notify its customers, vendors and associates that its imminent expansion plans will indeed include an immediate relocation of the company’s headquarters from Valencia, CA to a new, greatly expanded manufacturing and operations facility in the city of Thomasville (Davidson County), North Carolina. The formal decision to relocate was confirmed by Xceldyne principal Ben McCabe, subsequent to public hearings recently completed in the local and county NC municipalities that approved an economic development grant package of incentives designed to encourage the move.
“As we recently stated, Xceldyne has been considering a relocation to accommodate our new expansion,” stated McCabe. “The company had received several positive offers from local governments on both the East coast and West coast designed to lure our investment to their area. However, the incentive package approved by the city of Thomasville and Davidson County officials proved encouraging and simply reinforced our belief that this is an ideal area to invest in and expand upon our operations.” McCabe continued, “In addition to thanking officials and residents from the local community, we would like to recognize Steve Googe (executive director of the Davidson County Economic Development Commission), whose efforts were instrumental in the outcome of our final decision. The area appears to be welcoming us with open arms and we’re looking forward to a bright future in the state of North Carolina!
The company also confirmed that it has chosen a location south of the city of Thomasville as the specific location of it new headquarters. The site was originally developed in 1997 and is already home to several other motorsports-related corporations and race teams. McCabe commented, “There were several sites in the county which we considered. However, it quickly became clear that this site will provide Xceldyne with an ideal home offering many benefits; a professional-looking site, easy access to the primary corridor (Interstate 85), close proximity to the future FedEx shipping hub in Greensboro, and neighbors who are already involved in the racing industry.”
The company already has an expedited transition and relocation plan in place and expects to move its operations into its new location immediately. According to a spokesperson for Xceldyne, “We cannot accept an interruption in the product and service delivery to our customers, so the relocation will be completed quickly and efficiently.
